The RDM Group workshop held by Michele Bianchi, Chief Executive Officer, Guido Vigorelli, Group Chief Procurement Officer, and Fabrizio Indelicato, Group Sustainability Manager, during the 26th edition of Ecomondo, the reference event in Europe for ecological transition and new models of circular and regenerative economy, attracted great interest.
The panel, which took place Thursday, 9 November at 2pm at the Paper District and was entitled “The ecological transition in terms of product and process within the cartonboard supply chain. The RDM Group case’, focused on the challenges the Group is facing in terms of an ecological transition from the point of view of product and processes and on the leading role of cartonboard as a winning solution in an increasing number of sectors, in addition to traditional ones such as food, packaging and publishing.
The RDM Group’s goal is to offer a recycled and recyclable product that is both sustainable and cutting-edge. Concerning sustainability, the Company also presented its Sustainability Plan 2020 – 2030, also highlighting the concrete commitment the Group is making to achieve the 3 targets defined by the Sustainability-Linked Bond and to be reached by 2025: reduce carbon intensity by 15%, decrease discharged production water by 10%, increase waste recovery rate to 81.5%.
