03-11-2020

For the second year running, Fondazione Lazzareschi has awarded an important recognition to Ovaro Mill as part of their “Safety Project – Zero Target”.

The award was granted for the development and installation, in collaboration with an important paper machinery supplier, of a new automatic tail threading system for cardboard with grammages up to 1,000 g/m2, without the utilization of ropes.

The innovative pneumatic system was implemented and tested in 2019 and extended in 2020. The new system will increase the performance of the board machine, and most important it will increase the safety conditions of workers in the tail threading step.

Besides, having reached the zero accident goal during 2019, the Magenta sheeting centre has been granted the “Zero-Goal” award.
