Now we have become RDM

We are very excited to announce that from January 1st, 2017, Reno De Medici group, Cascades La Rochette and Careo have become a unified group under a new and unique identity: RDM.

This development is the result of a journey that started in 2008, with the strategic business combination of two major cartonboard producers in Europe: Cascades and Reno De Medici. This also resulted in the creation of Careo. This strategic combination was finalised in June 2016 with the inclusion of the La Rochette mill into the Reno De Medici group, resulting in one unified group.


RDM: one group, one brand, one strategy, one management team, aligned in order to reinforce even further the creation of value to all our business partners. This is good news for all of our stakeholders, external as well as internal. We will become more agile and flexible, and we will continue to build stronger relationship opportunities between our new RDM entity and our customers.

The outstanding levels of quality and service remain our priority. We will take them even further and deploy more consistent and customer-friendly processes, a more unified approach across all our mills and sales offices throughout Europe. We will continue to work on improving, standardising and modernising our systems. We will make use of our experience and expertise collected over many years of operations in many different countries to create recognisable first-in-class standards that from now on will be associated with our newly unified brand RDM. We want to strengthen our presence and visibility in Europe and overseas, and deliver a better promise to all our customers.

Together with the new brand we have introduced a new logo, which represents the unity, reliability and credibility of this newly formed company.

We are eagerly looking forward to further co-operation and partnership in business.

RDM Group, in collaboration with Aticelca (Associazione Tecnica Italiana Cellulosa e Carta), extends its sincere congratulations to Matteo Nardi of the University of Pisa for receiving the “Paolo Culicchi” Prize for his Master’s thesis entitled “Use of a Heat Pump to Produce Saturated Steam.”
