20-09-2024

The Míša multipack and the Union Mels – Butter Cookies projects, candidates for the 2024 edition of the Pro Carton European Carton Excellence Awards, have won the GOLD award!

At the ECMA Conference, held in Berlin on September 19 and 20, the winners of the European Carton Excellence Awards were announced in front of over 200 industry representatives who came to celebrate the best innovations in carton packaging.

RDM Group’s cartonboard fully recycled and recyclable was chosen by the converter to develop the innovative packaging that won the GOLD Project recognition during this edition of ECEA2024. These awards also are a recognition of our commitment to sustainability and innovation, which we share with our stakeholders daily.

Central to RDM Group’s strategy, as the leader in recycled cartonboard, remains the commitment to the development of sustainable packaging solutions.

Our compliments to our clients Cardbox – Packaging and Alzamora Group for these amazing designs and to Míša Multipack and the Union Mels for this prestigious achievement. We are proud to have been chosen as the solution.

The Projects:

Míša multipack

The new multipack for Míša cheesecake desserts brings a family pack to the market, which is not only cost-effective for the consumer but also emphasizes sustainability, as it is made of RDM Group’s 100% recycled and recyclable cartonboard.

The hot melt applied on the bottom part, covered with a silicone strip, facilitates subsequent assembling during the final packaging of the products. The finished carrier can hold up to four cheesecakes, making it easy to handle when purchasing larger quantities. Short messages within the traditional graphics guide consumers to sort waste correctly and thus also has an educational function.

Union Mels – Butter Cookies

The client was looking for differentiated packaging for their Halloween cookies campaign that would appeal to families and differentiate at the point of sale. They also wanted to offer users the possibility of collecting the packs. Finally, it is worth mentioning that they had specific dimensions that had to be met for logistical and product capacity reasons.

The solution design is five types of original and eye-catching packaging, each representing a characteristic Halloween element. The most remarkable thing about the product is how each of the packs has the format of its design, standing out from the rest of the products on the market, and inciting to collect the different models.
