MICHELE BIANCHI APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF FIBRE PACKAGING EUROPE

18-03-2026

RDM Group is pleased to announce that Michele Bianchi, CEO of the Group, has been appointed President of Fibre Packaging Europe (FPE), the coalition that brings together seven European trade associations representing the entire fibre‑based packaging value chain. FPE represents around 1,500 companies, 2,200 manufacturing sites, 365,000 employees, and generates more than EUR 120 billion in annual turnover.

Fibre Packaging Europe plays a strategic role in the dialogue with European institutions, advocating for a more harmonized Single Market and a regulatory framework that encourages innovation, investment, and sustainability in the transition towards a circular economy. This commitment is also reflected in the recent “One Europe, One Market” statement, which calls for uniform rules to strengthen competitiveness and regulatory clarity across the sector.

With this appointment, Michele Bianchi will lead FPE during a crucial phase for the industry, helping to represent the vision and priorities of fibre‑based packaging in Europe—from defending Single Market principles to promoting sustainable and recyclable solutions.

For RDM, it is an honour that its CEO also serves as the President of such an important association, a recognition that underscores the Group’s central role in guiding the future of fibre‑based packaging.

“As FPE’s new president, I take office with a clear conviction: We must now focus on policies that strengthen our European industry. With this in mind and in the context of the roadmap on ‘One Europe – One Market’ to be presented by the European Commission to EU leaders, FPE asks to consistently embed competitiveness and Single Market considerations across all EU policies and supportive initiatives” declares Michele Bianchi, CEO of RDM Group and President of FPE.
