4EVERGREEN ALLIANCE: TOGETHER TO PROMOTE CIRCULAR ECONOMY

25-01-2021

RDM Group is an active member of 4evergreen, the CEPI Alliance that brings together companies across the whole fibre-based packaging value chain who are committed to raising circularity and sustainability.

By bringing together the entire value chain – from paper and board producers to packaging converters, brand-owners, technology and material suppliers, waste sorters and collectors – 4evergreen foster synergies and enables cooperation among companies promoting the development and use of low-carbon and circular fibre-based packaging with a comprehensive outlook on fibre-based packaging’s life cycle.

RDM Group aims to give its substantial contribution to the circular economy by working together with its customers and suppliers, as part of a virtuous circle: indeed, while being genuinely sustainable, the packaging industry aims at continuous improvement and achieving an overall fibre-based packaging recycling rate of 90% by 2030.

Currently, RDM Group and the members of the Alliance collaborate in 5 main work-streams, namely Packaging recyclability evaluation, Design according to circularity guidelines, Improving collection & sorting, Product innovation, and Communication to industry and policy makers.

The goal of the Alliance is to provide comprehensive, scientific demonstrations of how – as a whole industry – we can effectively improve our performance in order to promote the use of fibre-based packaging and, at the same time, foster more environmentally friendly choices.
