RDM Group – Europe’s leading recycled-based cartonboard manufacturer and the largest producer in Italy, France, the Netherlands, Scandinavia and the Iberian Peninsula – is confirming yet again its presence this year at Paper Week, the national awareness-raising campaign held by Comieco to promote paper and cartonboard.
These ordinary materials, with their centuries-old history, have been able to evolve over time to such an extent that today they are at the heart a circular economy. Thanks to home and industrial recycling, paper can be collected, processed, and put back into the market; after being sorted from waste and appropriately recycled, it can be given a new lease of life in a thousand different forms, turning itself into packaging for the products we use on the daily, such as books, pasta, toys, pizza, cleaning products and much more.
This is such an interesting process, and it will be possible to learn more about it at the opening of the RDM Group’s paper mills. This initiative, carried out in cooperation with Federazione Carta e Grafica, Assocarta, Assografici, Unirima, and sponsored by ANCI, the Ministry for the Environment and Energy Security, is free of charge.
