RDM GROUP PROCEDURES IN RELATION TO CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAKS

24-02-2020

With reference to the Coronavirus threatening, RDM Group, as part of the global supply chain, is investigating all possible dangers arising from this matter and is doing its outmost to reduce any possible risk of contagion.

Following the growing coronavirus outbreak in Italy, especially in the Lombardy and lower Veneto regions, RDM Group has introduced precautionary measures aimed at limiting the risk of contagion and facing the epidemic.

There are only two red areas identified in Italy, where access in and out is not allowed. Those areas are not impacting RDM Group operations and its ability to serve customers. All the production sites of RDM Group, in particular the Italian ones, are under constant control and monitoring. The Italian Mills are located in different regions of Italy and none of them are within the outbreak areas. At the moment, the Group’s production activities are proceeding as usual, without difficulty or imminent risk for orders production and delivery.

Furthermore, in line with the RDM Group’s multi-mill concept – according to which it is possible to assure supplies to customers regardless of the production site, in a flexible and timely manner – RDM Group Mills located in the rest of Europe (Spain, France and Germany) could make up for any delays or difficulties of the Italian sites.

RDM Group also boasts a solid network of suppliers who guarantee the necessary materials to proceed fulfilling customers’ orders.

As a precautionary measure, all employees who have been in contact with people coming from virus outbreaks areas (Lombardy or lower Veneto regions) or who have been in risk areas in the last 14 days, have been asked not to go to the workplace, but to carry out their work in smart-working mode, or to stay at home.

All travels scheduled, regardless of venue, have been cancelled until mid of March, and if necessary, this position will be revised; while all scheduled meetings will take place in call-conference or skype-conference mode. Moreover, all mill visits by customers and suppliers are postponed. Posters and precautionary instructions have been placed and distributed in all Group’s Italian offices and mills in accordance with the Health Ministry instruction.

It is intended that all employees, consultants and suppliers with flu symptoms, even slight ones, have been denied access to the offices of all Group sites.

Please keep in mind that the spreading of Coronavirus does not occur via objects, but from one person infected to another through: saliva, coughing and sneezing; personal direct contacts, hands, mouth, nose or eyes. The risk of infection is reduced, protecting you and others, following some precautions and complying with the suggestions issued by the Health Organizations of each country.
