From 7 to 10 November the RDM Group will be present at the 26th edition of Ecomondo, the international trade fair that aims to be a meeting point and dialogue point for stakeholders interested in the development of the European Union’s environmental policy.
For the occasion, the RDM Group will hold a workshop entitled “The ecological transition in product and process key within the cartonboard supply chain. The RDM Group case“, which will take place Thursday 9 November at 2 p.m. at the Paper District – Workshop (Area pav. B2).
Chief Executive Officer Michele Bianchi, together with Guido Vigorelli, Group Chief Procurement Officer, and Fabrizio Indelicato, Group Sustainability Manager, will illustrate the challenges the Group is facing in terms of ecological transition, from the perspective of product and processes. In addition to classic sectors such as food, packaging, and publishing, cartonboard is proving to be a winning solution in an increasing number of sectors.
The Company’s goal is to offer a recycled and recyclable product that is both sustainable and cutting-edge. In this regard, the workshop will showcase the Group’s Sustainability Plan 2020 – 2030, which aims to increasingly integrate the concept and practices of sustainability also within the business processes of the Group and its plants.
Three areas in particular pose the greatest challenges: waste management, decarbonisation (which also has major impacts on logistics), and responsible water management.
