Every year, Euromonitor International identifies emerging trends that are expected to gain traction in the year ahead. These trends provide insight into changing consumer values, exploring how consumer behaviors shifts.

In the last report, sustainability is proved to be a renewed emerging trend, in fact consumers gravitate toward eco-friendly products and communities and towards new distribution channels and commerce avenues.

Nowadays, consumers are becoming aware of their individual contribution to climate change, in fact in 2021, one-third of global consumers actively reduced their emissions. Climate Changers make more sustainable choices whilst demanding action and transparency from brands, for this reason companies are adjusting their portfolios to meet consumer demand for products with a lower planetary and ecological footprint.
