This decree provides strict provisions for some territories (defined as “area one”) which include the Lombardy Region and 14 provinces, including the areas in which RDM Group Head-Quarter (Milan) and the sheeting centres of Garbagnate and PAC Service (respectively, Milan and Vigonza – PD) are located.
Among the measures introduced there is that of “avoiding any movement of people in and out of the territories, as well as within the same territories, except for transfers motivated by proven work needs or situations of necessity […]”. Considering the first clarifications provided by the Italian Government itself, it is possible to confirm that the decree does not intend to stop work activities or production activities, nor does it block the transport and circulation of goods to and from the so-called red zones.
Therefore, RDM Group informs that all its facilities – including mills, sheeting centres and sales offices – are regularly running and that, at the moment, production activities have not been affected by the urgent ministerial measures.
However, following the new law provisions, RDM Group has consequently revised its internal procedures related to Coronavirus emergency, starting from today and until new disposal, as follows.
All Group employees – both those assigned to office and production activities – have been provided with further and more specific hygiene and health-related dispositions, reminding them of the importance of complying with the provisions that prohibit people gatherings. It was also stressed that all the measures taken require strict compliance by all, in order to protect our health and deal with this major emergency that is affecting our country and our lives.
RDM Group is more than willing to provide more details about its provisions to all its customers and suppliers.
