The carton was produced by VG Meyzieu, part of Van Genechten Packaging and the brand owner is the famous supermarket chain “Auchan”. The cartonboard producer is Cascades La Rochette, represented and marketed in all European countries and overseas markets by CAREO.
The carton is made from FSC® certified cartonboard ROCHCOAT, and its design reduces the use of plastic content to an absolute minimum. The contents are clearly visible and sauces, knives and forks can be stored in a separate compartment.
The cartonboard and the plastic are connected in such a way that they can be separated and disposed of easily after use. This allows the final customer to dispose of the packaging in a sustainably environmentally friendly manner.
The award was handed over to the team of VG PACKAGING GROUP and CAREO during the ECMA CONGRESS that was held in Bucharest in September 2015.

ROCHCOAT is produced in Cascades La Rochette cartonboard mill located in a picturesque surrounding of the Savoy Alps. Cascades La Rochette produces 160.000t of FBB per year.
