RDM GROUP ANNOUNCES THE COMPLETION OF THE SALE OF ITS REAL ESTATE ASSETS IN CASTELLBISBAL, SPAIN

15-10-2026

The completion of the Transaction follows RDM’s press release dated 15 January 2025, announcing its intention to close the Castellbisbal mill and to initiate a sale process for the related real estate assets, in light of structural overcapacity in the Iberian market and a broader contraction in European cartonboard demand.

Milan, 15 October 2026 – Reno De Medici S.p.A. (“RDM” or the “RDM Group”), a leading European producer of recycled cartonboard and fibre-based packaging solutions, today announces the successful completion of the sale of the real estate assets in Castellbisbal, Spain (the “Transaction”).

The completion of the Transaction follows RDM’s press release dated 15 January 2025, announcing its intention to close the Castellbisbal mill and to initiate a sale process for the related real estate assets, in light of structural overcapacity in the Iberian market and a broader contraction in European cartonboard demand.

The terms of the Transaction are overall in line with the projections underlying the Group’s business plan, while bringing forward to 2026 a portion of the sale proceeds originally expected to be paid in 2027. Proceeds from the sale will be partially used to repay in full the outstanding local facility secured over the Castellbisbal real estate assets, further deleveraging and strengthening the Group’s balance sheet.

The Transaction represents another important step in the capacity optimisation programme being implemented by the Group, and comes only weeks after the announcement of the sale of the Arnsberg business in Germany, the Group’s second such disposal in short succession. Consistent with the Group’s business plan, volumes originally produced at the Castellbisbal mill have been reallocated across RDM’s mill network, primarily to the Paprinsa mill in Mollerussa, reinforcing the Group’s flexible and competitive platform in Iberia.
