RDM GROUP WELCOMES EPPA AT THE PAPRINSA MILL

21-01-2026

On January 20, RDM Group, through our membership in the European Paper Packaging Alliance (EPPA), hosted an EPPA delegation at our Paprinsa mill in Mollerussa (Spain) for a working visit focused on sustainability, circularity, and industrial excellence.

The visit brought together Albert Planell (Director General of the Catalan Waste Agency), Jordi Serra (RDM Group Paprinsa Mill Manager), Marc Solsona (Mayor of Mollerussa) and Clara Porta (ACCIÓ delegate in Lleida), reinforcing the value of direct dialogue between public authorities and industry.

We welcomed the delegation and showcased RDM Group Paprinsa Mill’s operations and product quality through an on-site tour, followed by a discussion on innovation that helps deliver optimal packaging performance for consumers while reducing environmental impact.

This exchange comes at a pivotal moment as Europe moves into the implementation phase of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation. Turning EU objectives into real-world results will depend on public-private collaboration to deliver clear, aligned, and achievable rules that strengthen circularity, enable investment and support Europe’s industrial resilience and strategic autonomy.

Key takeaways from the visit:

  • Achieving circularity at industrial pace will require technology, investment, and strong value-chain cooperation.
  • Delivering impact will require consistent implementation across Europe to avoid fragmentation and provide the predictability companies need to invest.
  • Progress will accelerate when ambitions translate into workable measures that can be deployed at scale.
  • Legal and technical clarity will be decisive to unlock innovation and planning.

RDM Group remains committed to advancing sustainable packaging solutions and fostering partnerships that drive positive change across Europe.
