CORONAVIRUS EMERGENCY: RDM GROUP PROCEDURES CONSTANT UPDATE

11-03-2020

Monday, 9th March 2020, a new Italian Prime Ministerial Decree was published, regarding the Coronavirus
emergency, extending to the entire Italian national territory the urgent measures aimed to contain the
expansion of Coronavirus contagion.

Considering the clarifications provided by the Italian Government itself, it is possible to confirm that the decree does not intend to stop work activities or production activities, nor does it block the transport and circulation of goods in the country. Today, RDM Group facilities are regularly running and, at the moment, production activities have not been affected by the ministerial measures nor by the Coronavirus threatening.

However, following the new law provisions, RDM Group has revised its procedures related to hauliers, both those who access the RDM Group’s sites and those who deliver products to its customers, as follows. All hauliers accessing RDM Group facilities and those assigned to deliver its products to customers have been provided with further and more specific hygiene and health-related dispositions, reminding them of the importance of complying with the provisions that prohibit people gatherings and recommend a 2 metres
minimum distance between each person.

RDM Group has required to suppliers, and more specifically to hauliers, to use masks and gloves. If this was not possible, due to the shortage of mask stocks on the market, and access to the plant is considered to be indispensable, it is required to evaluate with internal staff a limited access without close contact to any other operator. In any case, access to RDM Group facilities – as well as to customers sites – is strictly forbidden to people who suspect being ill or who have any flu symptoms.

Also, RDM Group commits to request to all hauliers, involved in products deliveries, to previously make contact with the goods entrance of the customer’s site to get grant to access and to be further informed about the specific health and safety provisions of the site.

Work in safety, from each point of view, is an essential Value for RDM Group: for this reason, the Group is taking all necessary precautions to limit the risks and it also requires strict compliance with the measures adopted by all the involved parties.

RDM Group is monitoring all legislative updates and is more than willing to provide more details about its provisions to all its stakeholders.
