As vice-president of Comieco, Bianchi spoke about the correct recycling of paper and cartonboard, disproving some false myths concerning it. Just to mention few examples, the production of paper and cartonboard does not necessarily cause the destruction of forests: it is estimated that for each tree felled for paper production, 3 more are planted. Furthermore, another common mistake is that separate collection is not actually disposed of separately. In fact, every minute, about 10 tons of paper are collected and, after a proper recycling process, they come back to life becoming packaging again.
