50 YEARS OF SANTA GIUSTINA

28-09-2019

Santa Giustina Mill celebrates (its first) half-century of history. And as a matter of fact, it does so together with the people who, in the past as well as in the present, have made this goal possible.

It has been exactly 50 years since Santa Giustina Mill has started producing cartonboard. It was 1969 and, after Vajont disaster, it was decided to build a paper mill in Santa Giustina, in the Belluno area of Italy, which could relaunch the economy of that area. Half a century later, the paper mill has become an essential reality both for RDM Group, of which it is part, and for the territory of reference: indeed, there are about 200 people who work there permanently and the number triples if we consider those in outsourcing and satellite activities.

For this reason, RDM Group has decided to celebrate this important anniversary together with the people who made it happen. Therefore, on 27th September, RDM Group organized an Open Day, during which the plant opened its doors to authorities, public, employees’ families and, in general, to all those interested in experiencing this reality. More than 500 people have joined the initiative.

Moreover, during the same week of 28th September, a free photographic exhibition dedicated to the history of the Mill was held.

On the RDM Group website (www.rdmgroup.com), the Monograph dedicated to Santa Giustina can be downloaded.

In the hope that this is the best way to begin the next 50 years of the Mill.
