Role Mission

North Germany Sales Manager
 
Key Accountabilities

The candidate we are looking for will join the German Sales team and will serve as a Sales manager for new and existing accounts in his/her respective region. The Sales Manager facilitates all aspects of the sales process with long term customer approach; consultative selling approach, developing sales solutions, closing sales opportunities, providing outstanding customer service and follow up.

  • Develop and implement sales strategy in cooperation with the Sales Director
    in established as well as new customers
  • Securing of reaching strategic targets, especially result and market share
    targets in the defined markets and sales channels
  • Drive continuous improvement in the sales function
  • Create growth and value for the RDM Group.

 

  • Main Tasks
    • Secure that customer needs are translated into operational deliveries
    • Liaise with marketing, engineering and production
    • Identification and realization of sales potentials with new and existing customers
    • Providing outstanding customer service facilitating long term relationships
    • Establish service standards that ensure consistent service deliver improvement across the Mill network. This will actively involve: Service Centre, Supply Chain, Mills and Customers
    • To work closely with colleagues in Supply Chain and Manufacturing to deliver the planned volumes
    • To manage any variations to plan with customers to maintain service quality

     

    Desired Skills and Experience

    Key Requirements

    • At least 5 to 7 years working experience in sales preferably in the preferably in the packaging and/or paper industry
    • Professional command of English

    • Strong analytical and technical skills
    • The candidate needs to be mature and senior, able to build a strong relationship to all senior stakeholders internally and externally with the ability to assess customers’ needs and create solutions with the mills
    • Hunter mindset and excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills are a prerequisite as well the willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%)
    • Proactive, dynamic and go-get personality
    • Proven ability to adapt quickly to a new environment and a quick learner, keen to understand the RDM products and their USP
    • Reliable and flexible
